Planet Hollywood, a
fifteen-minute walk from the White House, is a popular spot to
take a break from sightseeing. The Washington branch of the
global chain is replete with celluloid memorabilia. In honor of
the blockbuster movie, Titanic artifacts are currently on
display. Other pieces in the collection include Luke Perry’s
yearbook, Star Trek memorabilia, and the futuristic skateboard
from the Back to the Future movies.
The food is good and the
waiters are the friendliest in town. Try the Captain’s Chicken
- a chicken finger coated in the favorite breakfast cereal- as
an appetizer, it’s surprisingly good. The grilled chicken
sandwiches are also good.
Inside tip is to anticipate a wait. The lines are sometimes
long, but the service is worth it.
Sit in Kevin's section. He
is friendly and full of good sightseeing tips.
